Our Vision
"Empowering learners towards their future success."
At Waiuku College, we fulfil our vision by providing opportunities, encouraging active participation, valuing effort, and promoting and celebrating excellence in all its forms.
Our motto, Titiro Teitei (Look High / Aim High), encourages students to strive for personal excellence and high achievement — whatever that looks like for each individual learner.
Our School
Size & Community
Approximately 1,000 students across Years 9–13, drawn from Waiuku township and the wider rural community of around 16,000 residents. Around 40% of students travel to school by bus from Pukeoware, Glenbrook, Awhitu and surrounding areas.
Bicultural Identity
We acknowledge Ngaati Te Ata as Tangata Whenua and are committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Te reo Māori and tikanga Māori are woven through our school culture and curriculum.
Community Partnerships
We maintain strong partnerships with local businesses, iwi, sports clubs, arts organisations and community groups — enriching the learning experience for all our students.
Our Core Values
The four values that guide every decision, every interaction, and every learning experience at Waiuku College.

Building strong connections between students, staff, whānau and community.

Our Treaty Commitment
Waiuku College is committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi. We recognise Ngaati Te Ata as the Tangata Whenua of our rohe, and we strive to embed te reo Māori, tikanga and mātauranga Māori meaningfully throughout school life.
