Welcome to Waiuku College

Waiuku College is a co-educational secondary school of approximately 1,000 students, proudly serving the Waiuku township and surrounding rural community — an area of around 16,000 residents in South Auckland.

Our school is guided by the motto Titiro Teitei — Aim High. We believe every student has the potential to achieve excellence, and we are committed to providing an environment where they can reach it.

We acknowledge Ngaati Te Ata as Tangata Whenua and are committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everything we do.

Our Whānau System

Students at Waiuku College are organised into four whānau (family groups), each named to honour the natural and cultural heritage of our local rohe (region).

The whānau system builds connection, belonging and a sense of identity — ensuring every student has a community they belong to within our school.
